I filmed the LB wedding in the fall of 2024. It was a beautiful day – warmer, sunnier and windier than expected. I started my day by flying my DJI drone over the venue. It was a perfect day for the drone, at least, at first. Later, it was too windy.
Always film with the drone first. Wedding days can get away from you.
I shot on the Sony FS100, a GoPro, a DJI drone, and a BlackMagic 6K. Multiple angles is key to capturing all the important moments. I like to have 2 angles for every scheduled event – from the first look to the cake cutting.
The day was made even better by a wonderful photographer and his assistant. Having friendly, experienced, positive colleagues during a wedding shoot is crucial to the smoothness of the day. I was thankful for the photographer for all his good work.
